December Event: Kiss me, I can't move until you do!

For those who were in the Castle last year, they might be a bit wary of the season. Last year Ozuma made a bit of a mistake in the...decorations he used. Well never to fear! This year is different!

Really it is!

He’s pretty sure he got it this time!

Okay he really doesn’t. Sorry everyone but just like last year there seems to be mistletoe floating around, appearing over couples and refusing to budge until something happens.

There is a little change though. Aside from the normal white berries there are sprigs of ones with different colored berries. What do they mean? Well here is a handy little guide for our players to go by!

• White - Just like last year
• Yellow - Animal ears/parts
• Pink - Infatuation
• Blue - Universal translator turned off
• Green - Sudden need to sing
• Red - Bodyswap

All of the mentioned effects will go away with a kiss. The kiss will depend on the players comfortably. Children can be a peck on the cheek or hand, same with others who do not feel like their characters would ICly be comfortable with a “normal kiss”.

The event will run from December 8th to the end of the year(December 31st).

About the body swap... Since Nikkari's technically actually the sword puppeting the "human" body, would the one swapped with him just be in the "human" form or split between the it and the sword?

Basically neither of my boys will be okay with this initially but.

Dante: He'll learn to laugh it off. It's a pretty absurd situation. If people bodyswap into him they'll find themselves tall, strangely warm, with absurdly heightened senses and they'll probably feel hungry. And they'll have fangs.

Link: If his translator switches off he will speak in Ancient Hylian. If people bodyswap into him they'll have some pain in their side and feel a bit weak in the legs. Their hearing will likely be greatly increased. It's worth mentioning for people's peace of mind that this Link is 25 years old so if you want your character to run into him go for it.

I am so down for anything with Nikkari, especially since he was here for last year and thus finds it really funny that Ozuma screwed up the mistletoe again.

I'm especially down for language or body swap though since he's a sword forged in the early Kamakura period.

Fubuki is 14 and a child, so cheek kisses are the way to go. He's also fairly oblivious when it comes to anything remotely romantic. ...And Atsuya probably believes in cooties.

Arthur is 15-ish, so he's young, but canon treats him as mostly an adult (he's old enough to hang out at the pub). I don't mind mouth kisses as long as their chaste, for him. ...He's also kinda oblivious, though, and doesn't even know there's a tradition associated with mistletoe at all. Good luck?

Zaveid is open to everything but bodyswap mistletoe, and will be weirdly brief or reluctant to properly kiss anyone. hes gunna play that he's Old, and claim forehead kisses 99% of the time.

Duke or Volga Are here for all of the options. Neither are remotely as human as they look (which, uh, Duke looks like a not!elf and Volga is like 7feet tall he failed at hylian passing anyway) so some fun can be made of having new senses or failing to keep the polymorph shapeshift.

As usual, Lance will be down for anything.

Under the animal thing, he'll probably end up with cat features because of the whole lion thing. And because I'm terribly unoriginal and love catboys. For language, he speaks English and Spanish. And if bodyswap happens, idk Lance is pretty much just a normal human so there's nothing particular of note you'd feel in his body.

He's always up for kissing people, because hey. It's Lance.

● Ryuji "Bon" Suguro
Okay so Ryuji was here last year, he remembers this all too well. Hell it's the whole reason he and Rin finally got pushed together. That being said he is not going to be happy about it. Seeing as he already has a tail any animal traits will be more akin to a dragon, horns and stuff like that.

● Signless
Just like Ryuji, Signless was here for the previous year. That being said he doesn't mind this all that much. While he's an alien he is the equivalent to being in his 30s. Animal stuff will be more than likely a cat tail and/or ears. Probably match the red of his blood for shits and giggles. Also his language is an insect like clicking and trilling. Sorry, no one but like Sollux is going to be able to understand him.

● Misaki Yata
Yata is not going to be happy about any of this. If you are a girl be ready for a lot of blushing and stammering. He has nothing against girls, he just doesn't know how to talk to them. He's used to guys. Also for language he will be all japanese, really lazy japanese at that.

● Cremisius "Krem" Aclassi
Krem is...going to be interesting. If he's had enough to drink he might be a bit more okay but at the same time he might be pretty unsure about things. He's a fighter and has his own hook ups. For animal stuff....probably bull horns and/or a bull tail. Language is going to be an interesting one. Probably going back to his native Tavene as well as some Orlesian.

● Lambda
Lambda is tiny child. Cheek and head kisses only. Cute innocent things welcome!

● Ferin Solanum
Can plant people also have animal bits? Hm...maybe closer to a bug of some sort? Who knows. Anyways, Ferin should be good for the most part with common...well Tyrian Common at least. =D

● Keith
Keith speaks english, also he is going to be so unsure about kissing people! Most will probably cheek or something unless your Lance. Animal...gonna go with lion ears and tail.

● Dante
W e l p. Okay so if it's a chick Dante will totally be okay with the kissing...not so much with guys. As for language, english. Animal? Uh....we'll have to see? Not really all that sure. Open to ideas!

● Sollux Captor
Look at that! Another troll! Meaning that language will be the same as Signless. Also he's like...13...so yeah. Also when it comes to animal stuff, bee wings probably!

Okay but with Maka and Ryuji we should do the broken universal translator thing, so they can make it through with talking in Japanese. And the realization that Maka is incredibly formal even talking to her friends, why.

Also I failed at making Yata sweat back in September, how about a WORSE opportunity to do that all over again here.

I PLAY MASAOMI KIDA. He is a twenty-one year old human man person thing. I'm totally down for all of these and the mistletoe concept having magic superpowers is familiar to him, albeit not these specific effects. He's an atrocious flirt and with a woman (or man who he thinks would be fun to tease) he's liable to ham it up assuming that there isn't some huge age difference or something. In terms of the universal translator, he'll speak Japanese because that's the only one he can actually do fluently/what he defaults to.

Also he doesn't sing particularly poorly so that's a thing too.

Crona and Ragnarok

Not really feeling up for green but absolutely up for all of the rest! Crona's at that teenage age (~16) so kiss locations are pretty variable based on whatever other muns/characters are cool with!

For animal parts, Crona's going to be going dragon. For languages, English is the one Crona's going to use. For bodyswap, you can be switched with Crona or Ragnarok, for extra fun and confusion.

I am 100% open to everything here, so I'll give you some basic rundowns on my kids.

Ilyana - Short but relatively strong for her size, Ana has been using a bow since she was a bitty child. She also has a tiny bit of magic in her, though it's mostly for healing since she's tapped into the Druid class of GW2. Her core language is New Krytan, so if she loses translation she'll only be able to speak to like two other people. Animal parts = bird-based.

Pidge - smol child is smol. Her skill lies mainly in stealth and subterfuge so don't expect to be a world class athlete in her body. Language is English (as far as we know) but a genius like her probably has at least some skill in other languages so she might be able to fumble along in something else if she loses translator. Animal = also birb.

Hilda - Fairly average in body type, though she's scarred to hell from things that happened to her in the Box. If swapping with her, referring to her app for information on those would likely be needed. Language is Lorulean, which is likely not that dissimilar from modern Hyrulian. Still, that's going to limit who she can speak to. Animal = angry cat.

Richard - Tall-ish, somewhat thin, fabulous blonde hair and oh hey look at all those powers. Language is whatever the fuck the common tongue of Ephenia is. Animal = idk I feel like maybe buck deer horns?

Twilight!Link - He's not very tall for an older male teen (most Links aren't any taller than 5'7") but he's super stronk and he has a ridiculous arsenal of weaponry. Language is modern Hyrulean. Animal = wolf, duh.

Chloe - Twig-like but tall, Chloe smokes too much for her own good so enjoy that nicotine withdrawal. Speaks English with a lot of slang. Animal = ... butterfly?

Rin - 5'10"-ish, unnaturally strong due to being a half-demon, runs hot naturally and has trouble with emotions = quite literal flare ups. Physically already has a tail, sharp canine teeth and slightly pointed ears so the animal mistletoe probably wouldn't know what to do with him. Language is super casual Japanese.

N - Fucking tree. That's it. He's a goddamn tree. Also he's able to understand Pokemon, hearing their voices and feeling their emotions/pain in his mind and heart. Speaks Unovan which may have similarities to English but not enough to trick the no-translation thing. Animal = Do Pokemon parts count cause if so he'd have a Zoroark tail and ears for sure.

None of mine are in the too-young category anymore save for Pidge and even then she's edging pretty close to the age where it's a little more acceptable, but if you're not comfortable with that the kid rule can still apply to her. Otherwise give me everything.

So I have both Twilia and Pierce here! Pink is a hard no, and while I'm open to green, I legitimately have no idea where to start with it. Everything else, however, is an enthusiastic YES.

Pierce: Language is English, and while he has some memory of French and Spanish that he took back in school, it's 1) extremely stilted and awkward at its best and 2) extremely rusty. Not sure what I'll do for him re: animal parts, though.

He's pushin' forty, is your typical skinny squishy wizard, and has smoked for a good deal of his life. So he doesn't have any overt health conditions, but he's uh. Preeeeeeeetty out of shape. The magic also doesn't come with the package, sorry - it's strictly a mental/spiritual skill where he's from.

Twilia: Language is some strange mishmash of a Germanic/Generic European Fantasy sounding mess, and every other language she knows is a fantasy one with no hard and fast counterpart to other worlds, so. FUN! Any animal parts she gets will most likely also be some sort of naga/lamia/snakebeast.

She's a more or less healthy sixteen-year-old who gets a moderate amount of exercise (but has a visible amount of padding b/c that's just how her body is), so nothing too interesting with regards to a bodyswap.

Oh wait. She IS only like, five feet tall. Have fun with that.

The main point of contention, however, is that her clothes are not gonna be easy to put on or take off for anyone unfamiliar with such things as corsets or fifty bajillion layers. I was merciful and made the corset front-lacing, but apart from that...have fun.
