Previous Canon Point: A few weeks into his training with Shiro
New Canon Point: Post-anime, after Satan's attack has been stopped and True Cross is being rebuilt.
Notable Physical Changes: ...Well, he's going from 8 to 16, so pretty much everything. He is now about 5'11", and looking a bit less scrawny and frail than he did as a child. He has glasses that are smaller and do not slide down the bridge of his nose half the time.
And then there's the issue of his demon half being awakened. Normally, his powers are kept sealed with Kurikara, just like Rin's (which means it'll be fun when his brother draws that sword while he's nearby). So that means his ears and canine teeth are slightly pointed, and he has a tail that he keeps secretly tucked away.
If the Kurikara is drawn, his ears and teeth get longer, and blue flames will appear around his body.
Notable Personal Changes: Yukio has matured a great deal from the scared child he used to be. Under Shiro's tutelage, he's become a talented fighter, able to keep his calm in almost any situation involving demons. And in any situation, period. He tries to keep any emotions that show a sign of weakness under wraps. That secretive exterior has broken slightly since he's now realized keeping secrets from his brother isn't the best idea, but he still struggles with expressing his feelings or admitting that he needs help.
His feelings towards his brother have turned from admiration to hatred, to distrust and impatience, to jealousy, to, finally, acceptance and respect. He has accepted Rin's demon side, and (sort of?) accepted his own bloodline. He understands that he and his brother can support each other, and he doesn't have to act like a warden for Rin.
His feelings of weakness are still present, and his instinct to protect still isn't entirely gone. He's working on his feelings of failure, especially after he was possessed by Satan.
He is outwardly confident, able to speak without stammering, but there is still a hint of awkwardness, particularly when he's expected to deal with romantic advances.
Notable Abilities: Yukio's training has paid off very well. He is an intelligent teacher, focusing on Demon Pharmacology but having talent in other subjects such as Latin and science. He is also a qualified doctor. As an intermediate exorcist, he has Meisters in Doctor and Dragoon, which means his skill with firearms is exceptional. He doesn't even need to look to be able to shoot demons at close range, and he doesn't miss shots at a farther range.
He also has demonic powers, including control over Satan's flames, but he has not trained with those abilities, and thus they are unstable and difficult to control.
New items on their person: Exorcist uniform and pin, two holsters with custom six-shot guns, his utility belt with his stock of bullets and holy water grenades, one briefcase filled with basic school supplies and lesson plans.
